Aldbrough Parish Council
Our MissionAldbrough Parish council aims to represent parishioners with any aspect of living in the parish. If we cannot resolve issues ourselves we help to guide residents towards the relevant bodies or pursue them with the people who have greater control.
The councilThe earliest records of Aldbrough Parish council are dated 1681 although its present form was constituted in 1935. The council presently consists of 9 councillors and a part-time parish clerk. As it is a hot topic at present we thought it would be useful; if parishioners were informed of the parish councillor's expenses. For the year 2008/9 the individual expenses claimed were zero and this year to date the expenses are zero. As you are aware parish councillors do not receive any form of remuneration - it is purely a voluntary undertaking.
Contact InformationPlease contact the Parish Council with any concerns about local issues; this could be repair work needed to the recreation ground or play areas, street lights that need repair, holes in the roads or for planning issues. Information on how the Council works can be found using the above menu. If we can't provide an instant answer we can usually find someone to help with any concerns you may have. Web ChangesThis is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.
