Welcome to Aldbrough Parish Council's Web-site, we hope you find the contents useful and informative. Navigation is primarily through the buttons at the top of the screen. We are developing the site and would love to hear from anyone who may wish to add content, or help in this process.

Please see the What's On section for details of latest events and meetings. Please get in touch if you wish to promote your event or business. Please check out the News section for new announcements & initiatives.

The site is split into two main areas: Parish Council issues and Community issues. In the first, information on council activities may be found including minutes of Council Meetings. In the second, issues surrounding the general community including such things as what's on and a photographic tour of the parish.
Currently the council is preparing a Parish Plan. We are looking for input from everyone who has an interest in the parish to give us their views on how we can improve things. Please follow the link to add to our survey. Aldbrough Survey Aldbrough is a parish of great rural charm. - from the dynamic cliffs in the east to the peaceful tranquillity of the lanes and footpaths to the west. The village is steeped in history with many unaltered buildings and has a lively community spirit. Being only 11 miles from the city centre of Hull and between the holiday resorts of Withernsea and Hornsea, it is fortunate to have easy access to some great recreational and cultural amenities. The 2,213 hectare parish has a primary school, 3 pubs, a hotel and guest house, a village hall & sports centre, a youth club, 3 shops & post office and about 4Km of rapidly eroding coastline!

The Village Hall is available for booking for events.

Aldbrough Parish Council holds regular meetings at Towry Primary School (picture above) on the 2nd Monday each month at 7.30 pm unless otherwise stated. The general public are very welcome to attend and opportunity is  given at the start of the meeting for questions to be raised from the floor.

During Holiday periods please check the village notice board (near the post office) to confirm that a meeting has not been cancelled
